Access Statement For Belmont House B & B

Introduction


The house is Victorian which has recently been renovated to a high standard but full of original features.
Large, comfortable friendly accommodation.
Quiet road, just off the High Street.
Restaurants, pubs, cafes etc within a 2 minute walk.

Pre-Arrival

• Any pre-arrival queries will be dealt with quickly via E mail or phone.
• On booking directions given, if needed.
• Simple map on web site, easy to find us.
• All shops, banks, pubs and eateries within easy walking distance of house.

Arrival & Car Parking Facilities

• The approx time of your arrival is established on booking and there will always be someone in to welcome you.
• There is ample free car parking on the road outside the house and you can usually park right outside the house. Help is always offered with luggage.

Main Entrance & Reception

• The front gate and path leading up to the house is clear and gives easy access to the front door.
• The porch is well lit.
• There are no steps into the front porch or into the inner hallway.

Public Areas - General (Internal)

• There are stairs to the bedrooms, however these are fairly wide with a very substantial banister.
• All areas are well lit.
• The landing leading to the bedrooms is wide and uncluttered.
• Wall hung fire extinguisher. Directions for use given.
• The hallway into the dining room is clear and uncarpeted with renovated floor boards leading into the dining room.

• The dining room is well lit with overhead lights and standard light and small lamp.
• There is a wide door leading into the dining room which is set out to enable free access to the buffet and dining table and chairs.
• Any dietary requirements catered for if ordered in advance.
• Help available at all times.

Bedrooms

• All bedrooms are very large and spacious, there is ample room on both sides of the beds and non-slip rugs on either sides.
• There are no fitted carpets but exposed and polished original floorboards (non-slip) thus cutting down on dust and allergies within the room
• Bedding and pillows are non-allergic.
• Well lit -overhead and bedside lights.

Bathroom, Shower-room & WC [En suite or Shared]

• Private bathroom is large with huge bath and separate shower cubicle. Non-slip ceramic tiles with bathroom rugs. Plenty shelf room.
• En suite room with shower cubicle. Non slip tiles.
